This is an illustration showing the orbital resonance geometry of Venus to Earth. As Venus orbits the Sun thirteen times, the Earth orbits eight times, together creating a 13:8 harmonic proportion very near the golden mean. This produces five conjunctions equivalent to the geometry of a pentagon or pentagram around the Sun. When observed from Earth over an eight-year period, Venus traces out a rose. It is my hypothesis that this orbital geometry was used as a template or blueprint to design ancient temples to the Venusian goddess.
